The elegant solution

Situated in rural countryside this scheme has been devised to replace a 1960’s dwelling and take the opportunity to unlock the unique potential of the sloping site and views.

 

Chapman Partnership developed proposals for a dynamic floor plan splitting across three levels. By doing this the building can provide a 5 bedroom house, maximise sunlight into the private domain and reduce visual impact on the greenbelt location. These aspects were key in achieving planning permission at the first submission in 2019.

 

This ongoing project is due to start on site in 2021 and the design is currently being revised to include a dramatic entrance foyer which reflects and celebrates the client’s occupation as a pilot and presents the opportunity to display their vintage motorcycles.
