Approached by a Swedish car enthusiast with the desire to create a unique home for his family and impressive motor collection we were instantly intrigued. Situated on the edge of a national park outside of Stockholm we knew this project deserved to be exceptional.

 

Chapman Partnership created a communal hub at the core and private spaces at the edges which integrate views of woodland flora and fauna. The deck connects the main house to the garage, workshop and annex. This allows the private collection to be displayed and viewed from the open plan kitchen and living room spaces. 

 

The design emphasises roof pitches, overhangs and window detailing, using authentic timber construction and impressive triple glazed windows to create the ultimate Swedish home rooted in heritage but looking to the future.
