Make an entrance

A new gatehouse to an apartment complex on the River Thames, to create a fresh and welcoming environment reflecting the reception offered to residents and guests. 

The building provides function for a porter, reception and deliveries as well as formalising the pedestrian and vehicle entrances. The spatial arrangement optimises the internal and external environment providing a covered walkway wrapping around the enclosed reception to form a secure entrance on one side and an open verandah on the other side.

The design reinstates Prices Court’s presence on a rapidly changing street scene. Complimenting the local area with a prestigious material palette featuring terrazzo and roman format bricks.
